Approximated real-life capacity
48 fl oz
Calculated, not measured: approximated from this product's marketed figure of 169 fl oz.
Capacity is published two ways: ISO 11948-1 soaks the whole product in salt water (the lab total), DIN 13222 puts it on a test torso and adds liquid until it leaks (closer to use).
Across 280 products whose makers publish both, the second follows a curve: about a third of the ISO total for smaller products, falling to about 28 % at 5,150 ml.
The curve is typically within 12 %, but one product in ten is off by more than 30 %, and what a diaper holds in real use depends on far more: fit, body position, how fast and how often.

Description
Space is a plastic-backed, tab-style adult brief by ABUniverse decorated with an all-over space and alien print; the alien graphics fade when wet to serve as a wetness indicator. It uses a 4-tape refastenable fastening system, a quick-absorbing core rated around 5000 ml, tall leak guards, and front and rear elastic waistbands. Released in October 2015, it was placed in the ABUniverse Vault (production paused) in February 2023.
